Shipping Summary

When shipping visibility data is available, the Recalculate Shipping dialog includes a Shipping Summary section. The Shipping Summary provides additional information about the selected shipping rate, including shipping method details and package information used during rate calculation.

For more information, see Shipping Rate Calculation Visibility.

Recalculate Sales Tax

The Recalculate Tax option allows merchants to refresh the sales tax applied to an order using the order's current information. This is useful after making changes that may affect tax calculations, such as modifying shipping charges, adjusting order totals, or updating customer information.

To recalculate sales tax:
  1. Open an order.
  2. Click Recalculate Tax.

The order's sales tax is recalculated using the current state of the order.

For stores using a third-party tax service, such as Avalara or TaxJar, recalculating tax sends the updated order information to the configured tax service and applies the returned tax amount to the order.
