Do you support secure access to files?
Posted by Laura Schindler, Last modified by David Hubbard on 20 April 2018 06:53 AM

Our servers support FTPS (TLS-encrypted FTP) and SFTP/SCP (secure access via SSH).  You will need to have an SSH-enabled account with us to make use of the latter option, but all accounts can use FTPS by default.  We strongly suggest using FTPS when possible.

For client software,  CuteFTP Pro and Vandyke's SecureFX are two excellent file transfer applications that we recommend.

For the SSH-based protocols, we do support certificate-based authentication for those that would like it, just generate a certificate and send it to us for installation on the server.  There are caveats on when this can be used, so we will let you know if there are any issues.
