How do I display buySAFE seals on externally hosted pages?

If your Miva Merchant store is provided by a hosting partner, it is possible that some of the pages in your store are coming from a slightly different URL. For instance, if using a shared SSL certificate in the store:

You will see the buySAFE seal on the main pages but not on the pages from "". This is because buySAFE protects misuse of the buySAFE seal, and if we receive a request from a site that is not "approved" we will not show the seal.

This is an easy problem to correct. Your buySAFE account needs to be modified such that it recognizes both addresses as valid for your store.

We are working on adding this feature to the buySAFE Merchant Service Center, but at this time, it can only be done by buySAFE personnel.

To request the change for your store use the buySAFE support system and start a ticket following these steps:

1. Click here to go to the buySAFE Support Center

2. Click on the Submit a Ticket link

3. Pess the Next button

4. Fill out the form as follows:

  • Enter you name and email address 
  • For Subject: buySAFE URL addition 
  • For Body: Input the following: URL’s of any pages where the seal is not showing up 

5. A buySAFE Customer Service Representative will add the URL to your account and the seals will automatically appear.
