The authentication data includes:

buySAFE store authentication data - used to display the buySAFE button

buySAFE seal authentication data - used to display the buySAFE Merchant Seal

This data must be input to the Miva Merchant Administration in the buySAFE Setup Page.

To do this the buySAFE for Miva Merchant Module must already be installed and assigned to your store.

In most cases, the authentication data will be input to Miva Merchant during the installation and assignment of the buySAFE for Miva Merchant Module. If you did not specify the authentication data at that time, you can do so now by using the following steps:

1.Obtain your authentication data from buySAFE from one of the following sources:

From your approval email (Subject: buySAFE Application; Status: Approved; Sender:

2. Go to the buySAFE Setup Page in the Miva Merchant Administration by:

  • Logging in to your Miva Administration
  • Expand your store menus on the far left
  • Click on System Extension Configuration
  • Click on the buySAFE for Miva Merchant tab
  • If the buySAFE Registration page is not shown, click on Authentication link
  • Copy and paste the authentication data as follows:
    • Seal authentication data = Public Hash
    • Store authentication data = Service Provider token
