How do I create custom HTTP error messages?
Posted by - NA -, Last modified by Jen Ferraz on 30 March 2011 08:49 PM

To create custom HTTP error messages, log into your hosting FTP account and locate the /error_docs/ directory.

The files in that directory may be downloaded and modified for your custom error pages, then overwrite the old file with your new page.

Please note that /error_docs/ is a special directory that will not allow new pages to be created, only the existing files may be changed and overwritten with the same file name.

e.g., to change the 404 Not Found page on the site, modify the not_found.html page via FTP in the /error_docs/ directory.
