When I export information from Miva Merchant, where are the files stored? How can I download them?

Miva Merchant has the ability to export the following information:

Quick Books Format (Customers & Orders)
Customers Flat-File Format
Orders Flat-File Format
Affiliates Flat-File Format

When exported, the file is saved on the server. To download the file, you must have FTP access to the web server where your site is being hosted. Follow these steps:

1. FTP onto the server where your web site and Miva Merchant installation are being hosted. To do this, you will need the FTP Server, Username, and Password. This can be requested from your Host Provider.

2. Once logged in, find the Miva data folder. Usually, this is located parallel to your Public HTML folder or the folder where you store your web pages. It is usually labeled: miva, mivadata, datadir, data, or something similar.

3. Open this folder, and inside, you will see a /Merchant2/ subdirectory. Open that directory. Inside the /Merchant2/ subdirectory, you will find a store data directory labeled:

/000000#/ (# = the number for the store)

Open it, and inside will be a directory labeled /export/. The /export/ directory will contain all files used to export information from the different export utilities. You can download these files to your local machine and use them to create other databases, perhaps for other software CRM or Accounting Software.
