Internal Server Error

======================================================================================
My online store is using the LinkPoint Payment Gateway from CardService International. When submitting the payment information on the final page of my online store's checkout process, I receive a page that indicates there is an "Internal Server Error". How can I fix this?
=======================================================================================

First, you will want to make sure that LinkPoint is what is causing the problem. To isolate this do the following things:

1. Turn off the Order Fulfillment features inside the Miva Merchant Administration:

• Log into the Miva Merchant Administration

• Click the blue triangle next to "Stores"

• Click the blue triangle next to your store's name

• Click the link: "Order Fulfillment Configuration"

• Un check both options, and click the "Update" button.

Place a test order without the E-Mail Notification options. If the error is still displayed, then continue to the next step because it is not being caused by the Mail Server that you are using for the store.

2. Test your store's checkout with a another payment module. This isolate LinkPoint as causing the Internal Server Error:

• Log into the Miva Merchant Administration

• Click the blue triangle next to "Stores"

• Click the blue triangle next to your store's name

• Click the link: "Payment Configuration"

• Select the Check Payment option, and click "Update"

In your Miva Merchant Storefront, perform a test order using the Check Payment option. If no error is displayed, then it must be the LinkPoint payment module that is causing this error.

Now that you know that we know that the error is definitely being caused by the LinkPoint configuration in your online store, this could be caused by 1 of 2 things:

1. Incorrect Digital Certificate: The digital certificate provided by CardService for the LinkPoint payment gateway is case sensitive. It looks similar to the information below:
-----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
Multiple lines of scrambled characters
-----END RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
Multiple lines of scrambled characters
-----END CERTIFICATE-----

This is provided by CardService inside the Welcome E-mail sent to you when you first signed up. This must be pasted exactly as it is provided into the Payment Configuration for LinkPoint inside the Miva Merchant Administration.

It will not work, even if there is only additional white space. It must be pasted exactly as it is provided. From the first "-" to the last "-".

Check that this is correct. If it is, and you have tested it, please continue to the next step.

2. Commerce Library Installation: Usually, this is what will cause this sort of problem. A Commerce Library is a file that is stored on the server which allows for secure transactions with other web site using Miva. These, usually, can only be installed and modified by someone with administrative access to the server generally your Host Provider.

Commerce Libraries are Server Operating System-Specific. Installing the incorrect file, in the incorrect manner will usually cause the software to fail when processing payments. You will want to contact your Hosting Provider in order to have them check the installation of the Commerce Library.
