open/parse client certificate file

When checking out, an error: "Unable to authorize payment: Unable to open/parse client certificate file" is displayed, and it will not allow me to complete my order. What causes this, and how can I fix it?

Unable to authorize payment: Unable to open/parse client certificate file. This error is always caused by a mis-configuration in the Link point Payment Gateway integration in the Miva Merchant administration interface. To correct it, follow these steps:

1. Log into your Miva Merchant administration.

2. Expand the "Stores" menu by clicking the blue triangle next to it.

3. Expand your online store by clicking the blue triangle next to your store's name

4. Click "Payment Configuration."

5. In the main screen, click the link: First Data Global Gateway (AKA Cardservice/LinkPoint Payment Gateway).

6. The third field is the Digital Certificate: text field. This text area should contain the Digital Certificate provided to you by Card
Service International when you originally signed up for the link point API gateway service. It will contain two separate sections
looking similar to:

14-15 Lines of jumbled (encoded) text.
14-15 Lines of jumbled (encoded) text.

7. This information is CASE SENSITIVE. When copying and pasting this information from the Linkpoint "Welcome Email," be sure that you paste ALL of it. It is important to copy it starting with the very first dash, ending with the very last dash: "-----BEGIN RSA ... END CERTIFICATE-----" without adding any additional characters including

8. Once you have made sure to carefully insert the entire digital certificate, click the Update button.
