Posted by - NA -, Last modified by Jen Ferraz on 11 April 2011 01:36 PM
Miva Merchant has the ability for shoppers to create "Customer Accounts." A customer account where a frequent or return shopper can store his/her Shipping or Billing address information. This information is stored in the Miva Merchant databases based upon a Login/Password combination that the shopper can choose.

Customer Accounts can also be used in conjunction with Pricing/Availability Groups, as well.

To turn them off, log in to your Miva Merchant administrative interface:
  • Click the NAME of your Miva Merchant store
  • In the main page, click the "Customer Accounts" tab.
  •  Uncheck the two checkboxes: Display Links Above Categories & Display Login Before Order Form
  • Click the Update button.
Then, to remove the "Account" button from the default navigation bar on your Miva Merchant storefront, click the "Images" tab on the same screen (Edit Store:). In the text field labeled, "Navigation Bar "Account", replace the text with the following information: graphics/en-US/admin/blank.gif

Click the Update button.

If you want your shoppers to have the ability to create accounts, but you do not want them prompted everytime they check out, simply uncheck the box labeled: Display Login Before Order Form ONLY on the "Customer Accounts" tab. Click the Update button.
