Title: Blank screen at onset of setup

Symptom : When trying to setup Miva Merchant (so far only been reported on v4.12), you go through all the info screens and when you submit the final page and the setup process should begin creating the databases, you get a blank screen.

Cause :
The cause in every case I have run into so far has been a mismatch between the Home Directory and the mivaroot directory.

Solution: So far this has been seen on Windows servers.


Setting these to be the same directory has resolved the problem in every case so far. You need to check settings in IIS, if you right click on the website, and select Properties, you can view the Miva Engine tab on the Miva Engine tab there is a place for "Store scripts in the following directory". You need to make sure that the directory listed there is the same as the directory listed as the Home Directory on the "Home Directory" tab of the Properties for the site.
