U.S.P.S. Online Rate Calculation (Domestic & International) Shipping Module Installation/Configuration Instructions

Installation:

1.) Click Shipping Settings on the left.

2.) Assign the module by checking the box for U.S.P.S. Online Rate Calculation (Domestic & International).

3.) Click Update.

Configuration:

In order to properly configure the  U.S.P.S. Online Rate Calculation (Domestic & International) Shipping Module, the user must first register and activate a USPS Web Tools Account by visiting the following link:

https://secure.shippingapis.com/registration/

If the user has successfully filled out and submitted the registration form they should receive a confirmation screen that looks like this:

Once they have submitted the registration application they will be sent an email containing their USPS Web Tools User ID and further instructions. This is what the email looks like:

The first portion of the email refers to test orders and is not required. Therefore the user can disregard those instructions and instead they will want to contact USPS Internet Customer Care Center (ICCC) via email or the phone number provided in the email and request for them to switch their profile to allow access to the "production server".

*Note: If the user wants to be able to generate shipping labels they will also need to request to have the ability to generate shipping labels to be added to their profile as well.

Once U.S.P.S. has confirmed that the user has been added to the Production Server, the user will then need to enter their USPS Web Tools User ID in the USPS User ID field by logging in to their admin and performing the following steps:

1.) Click Shipping Settings on the left.

2.) Click the U.S.P.S. Online Rate Calculation (Domestic & International) tab.

3.) Enter their USPS Web Tools User ID in the USPS User ID field.

4.) Leave the URL to USPS WebTools Server field at the default URL:

     http://production.shippingapis.com/ShippingAPI.dll

5.) Leave the Secure URL to USPS WebTools Server field at the default URL:

     https://secure.shippingapis.com/ShippingAPI.dll

6.) Verify the Zip Code entered in the Source Zip Code for Calculations field is accurate.

7.) Enter an amount in the Handling field (optional).

8.) Select a Label Option and Label Image Type in the Shipping Label Options drop down menus.

9.) Select any/all the Shipping Methods the user wants to offer by checking the box next to the method name.
