Changing Page Status 200 in Maintenance Mode
Posted by , Last modified by on 24 May 2012 10:22 AM

You can change the Maintenance Mode page, or MNTN page, to set a “503 - Service unavailable” instead of a 200 status

Steps

  1. Go to Pages and search for MNTN
  2. Edit the MNTN page
  3. Click on the Items tab and assign the "http_headers" item to the page and click update
  4. Click on the new HTTP Headers tab
  5. Click on the Add button
  6. In the Header column, type "Status"
  7. In the Value column type "503 - Service unavailable"
  8. Click update

The store will now set a status of "503 - Service unavailable" whenever maintenance mode is engaged.
