Working with Price Groups

Price Groups:

1) On the left hand of the admin click the [add] next to Price groups

2) Enter in the name of your price group

3) Pricing:

                Retail: regular price (the price defined by the product)

                Cost: cost value defined by the product

                Discount from retail: Reduces the retail price by the percentage defined in this field

                Markup from cost: Increases the price based upon the percentage defined in this field and cost value defined by the product

4) Once you're ready click update

5) 2 new tabs will appear Customers and Products

6) Click the Customers tab

7) Assign the users you know will be part of the wholesale group by checking the box next to their username and click update. ( you may want to only assign a test customer until you know it works as desired)

8) Click the Products tab

9) check the box next to the products you want to be a part of the whole sale group and click update

10) test it by logging into your test customer account and placing an order to verify that the prices match the price of the price group and also that they go back to retail price when you're logged out -- If you're trying to achieve a wholesale type of set up.

 

 

Creating a Test customer:

1) click the [add] next to customer on the left hand side of the admin

2) fill in the information

3) click add

4) fill in shipping/billing info

5) click update
