The Product Fitment List Flex Component is a powerful tool that works together with the Combination Facet Flex Component, Product Fitment List takes all the applications you’ve defined in Combination Facets and displays them in a clear, user-friendly list on your product page. This way, your customers know exactly whether a part or product is compatible with their specific vehicle, machine, or other setup.
When we talk about applications in the context of Combination Facets and the Product Fitment List, application is referring to the specific set of attributes that define whether a product will fit. Attributes (like year, make, model, trim, engine, etc.) that define whether a product will work for a particular use case.
Automotive example:
2015 Ford F-150, 3.5L EcoBoost
Powersports example:
2018 KTM 450 SX-F
Heavy equipment example:
2014–2017 Bobcat S650 Loader
Each of these is considered one “application” of a product.
For industries like automotive, powersports, and heavy equipment, a single product can be compatible with hundreds of vehicle variations. Shoppers need to know with certainty that the product they’re looking at will work for their specific application. The new Product Fitment List makes this clear, easy, and SEO-friendly.
The Combination Facet Flex Component already allows merchants to set up advanced filtering, such as Year/Make/Model (YMM) for auto parts. The Product Fitment List builds on this by taking the compatibility rules defined in Combination Facets, formatting them into a clean, readable list, and displaying that list on the product page, even if the customer hasn’t selected an application yet.
Product Fitment List makes,
- Pages lighter and faster
- Fitment data more accessible
- SEO better (more crawlable product application data)
- Fitment logic available even before an application is selected
Where to Use It
You can place the Product Fitment List Flex Component directly on your product detail pages. Typical uses include:
- A dedicated “Fitment” section on the product page.
- A collapsible panel that expands when customers want more detail.
- Integration with your Product Details Flex Component to show compatibility alongside other product attributes.
If no fitment data is available, the component can either display “Universal Fit” or remain hidden, depending on your store’s needs.
