The My Garage functionality adds to a customer record any time a customer enters information into the Combination Facet Flex Component. This can be helpful, for example, for stores that sell automotive parts so both you, and the customer, have a record of what they entered.
Using My Garage
The My Garage functionality adds to a customer record any time a customer enters information into the Combination Facet Flex Component. This can be helpful, for example, for stores that sell automotive parts.
If a customer visits your store and enters a Year, Make and Model of vehicle in the Combination Facet Flex Component, not only will they see if a particular part fits their vehicle, that vehicle that is entered becomes a part of their customer record and can be see in the Miva admin on the Customer Dashboard.
The customer does not have to save the information. The Miva admin simply stores it within their customer record.
Caution
The My Garage functionality can be paired with new Fitment Rider capability to help customers make sure the part they’re considering for purchase fits their intended use. Fitment is an advanced use that is best leveraged by developers at this time. Developer-focused documentation for this can be found here: Combination Facet Fitment Developer Resources. Future Miva releases will further integrate Fitment with PageBuilder flex components.
