Basket Discount (Specific Products) Price Group

Basket Discount (Specific Products) Price Group

The Basket Discount for Specific Products Price Group functions similarly to a store-wide sale. Once created, you can select Qualifying Products, which must be purchased by the customer to trigger the discount. However, the discount only applies to specific products that you have designated, present in the customer’s basket.

How to Create a Basket Discount for Specific Products Price Group

To create a Price Group, click on the Marketing header followed by the Price Groups tab.

Click on the Add Price Group button located in the upper right corner.

In the dialog box that opens, provide your Price Group with a name . Determine the Eligibility of the Price Group you are creating. Lastly, choose Basket Discount (Specific Products) in the type field.

Input a discount amount in the Discount field, selecting between a fixed dollar amount or a percentage.

Insert an amount in the Maximum Discount Amount field, represented as a dollar amount. Entering 10 in this field would be interpreted as $10 by Miva.

Note

Setting the Maximum Discount Amount to “0,” gives the Product Discount offer an unlimited discount in the basket.

As illustrated above, a Specific Product price group was created, offering a 10 percent discount on the specific item, a candle, in this case.

The customer will see the offered discount on the product's page and in the checkout basket during the payment process if they decide to purchase the candle.
