Basket Discount Price Group

The Basket Discount Price Group acts as a store-wide sale. Once a Price Group is created, Qualifying Products can be selected. These are the products that a customer is required to purchase to trigger the discount. However, the discount is applied to all items in the customer's basket.

Creation of a Basket Discount Price Group

Click on the Marketing header and then the Price Groups tab to create a Price Group. Proceed by clicking the Add Price Group button located in the upper right corner. Assign a Name to your Price Group and decide on the Eligibility for the Price Group you are creating. For additional information on configuring these, please refer here.

Defining the Discount

Select Basket Discount in the type field. Input a discount amount in the Discount field and select between a fixed dollar amount and a percentage as the format of the discount. Proceed by entering an amount in the Maximum Discount Amount field. The value entered will be interpreted as a dollar amount. For instance, if 10 is entered, Miva interprets it as $10.

Important Note

If you set the Maximum Discount Amount to “0,” the Product Discount offer would allow for an unlimited discount in the basket.
