Create Generated Coupon Codes

Create a Price Group

Begin by creating a new Price Group. Click the 'Marketing' header on the left side of the page, then switch to the 'Price Groups' tab. Press 'Add Price Group' and set the eligibility to 'Coupon Only'. Here, you will also complete the remaining steps with Price Group setup.

Generate Generated Coupon Codes

Next, go back to the 'Marketing' section again and navigate to the 'Coupons' tab. In this tab, push on the 'Generate' button located at the upper right corner of the page. You'll see a new dialog box opening, here you'll have to fill in the following details:

• Code: This will serve as the 'base' code for your customers to use when they redeem the coupon. The system will generate a series of unique, individual codes based on this base code.
• Description: Any information entered here will only be displayed within the administration interface.
• Eligibility: This will specify which customers can redeem the discount. The system accommodates the following: Specific Customers, All Logged In Customers, or All Shoppers.
• # of Coupons: This is where you specify the number of coupon codes you want the system to generate.
• Not Valid Before/Not Valid After: Set the validity period for the coupon codes.
• Max Use (Total): This is the total number of times a coupon code can be used.
• Max Use (Per Shopper): This sets the maximum number of times an individual shopper can use the coupon code.

If the eligibility is set to 'Specific Customers', do not assign a value in the '# of Coupons' field. Instead, click 'Select Customers' at the end of the box, designate your customers, and then select 'OK'. The system will then generate coupon codes equivalent to the number of selected customers when you click 'Generate'. If eligibility is anything other than 'Specific Customers', simply press 'Generate'; the newly created coupons will then be visible in the 'Coupons' tab.
