Create Coupon with Single Code

Creating a coupon involves setting up a coupon code that customers can redeem during checkout for a discount. Customers redeem the coupon with the code by putting it in a special field during checkout. The Coupon Code field can be added to the following pages:

• BASK - Basket Contents
• OCST - Checkout: Customer Information
• OSEL - Checkout: Shipping/Payment Selection
• OPAY - Checkout: Payment Information

Enabling the Coupon Code Field

To enable the coupon code field on your store pages, perform the following steps:

1. Click on the User Interface header and then the Pages tab.
2. Identify and select the page where you want to add the Coupon field for editing.
3. Click on the Page tab on the Edit Page screen. Scroll down to the Basket Contents section.
4. Click on Allow Coupons to be Applied, then click Update.

Note: If you have Advanced Mode enabled, you would not see the box for Allow Coupons to be Applied. You are required to first click the Point + Click Mode link, after which the box will be visible.

Creating a Price Group

The next step is to create the Price Group for the coupon.

1. Click on the Marketing header on the left side of the page, then click on the Price Groups tab if not already selected.
2. Click on Add Price Group, setting the eligibility to Coupon Only.
3. Choose a Price Group of any type apart from the Legacy type.
4. Set the Exclusions to Exclude for Same Basket, ensuring the coupon discount cannot be combined with any other discount.
5. Click Save.

Creating the Coupon

To create the coupon itself, follow these steps:

1. Click on the Marketing header on the side of the page, followed by the Coupons tab, then click on Add Coupon.
2. Fill out the fields in the Add Coupon box:
   • Code - Enter an alphanumeric string. This is the code customers will enter in the Coupon field to get the discount.
   • Description - Enter a description for the coupon as it will appear in the admin interface.
   • Eligibility - Select the group of customers eligible to receive the discount. If a customer who isn't allowed to use the code enters it in the field, they will see a message stating "Invalid Coupon Code."
     • If you choose Specific Customers, select a list of customers after creating the coupon. Only the selected customers will receive the discount.
     • If you choose All logged in customers, the customer must have a store account and be signed into their store account to get the discount.
     • If you choose All Shoppers, everyone will receive the discount.
   • Discount to Apply - select the Price Group you wish to use with this coupon.
   • Max Use (Total) - Enter the total number of times the coupon code can be used. For example, if you enter “100” in this field, the coupon code can be used 100 times total.
   • Max Use (Per Shopper) - Enter the number of times each customer is allowed to use the coupon code. For example, if you enter “1” in this field, customers can only use the coupon code one time.
3. Once done, click the Add button.

Assigning Coupons to Specific Customers

If "Specific Customers" was selected in the Add Coupon Eligibility field, a list of customers allowed to use the coupon must be selected. To do so:

1. Select the box next to the Coupon from the Coupon batch list, then select Customers from the menu button (three dots).
2. In the box that opens, assign customers to the coupon and click Close.
