Installing the Manage Quotes Module
The Manage Quotes module is already integrated within the Miva 10 admin. It still needs to be installed.
Installation Process
1. To launch the installation, click on the settings icon located at the bottom left corner, then navigate to the Modules section.
2. In the Modules section, scroll until you locate the Manage Quotes module and click on install.
Getting Started
Once the module is installed, three additional tabs will appear on the Utility Settings page:
- Quote Emails
- Quote Configuration
- Quote Custom Fields
Emails Related to Quotes
The module includes five customizable email templates:
- Send Quote: Customer
- Quote Requested: Customer
- Quote Requested: Merchant
- Quote Expired: Customer
- Quote Reminder: Customer
Note: These templates are enabled by default. To enable or disable any template manually, click the button under the Enabled tab.
These templates allow customization and editing of the “To”, “From” and “Subject” fields. Upon clicking the name of the email template you wish to edit, a box for editing these fields will display.
Take note, however, that each email template is in full HTML form, implying that you may need the assistance of a developer in customizing your email templates.
Quote Configuration
The Quote Configuration screen accommodates general settings for the module, including, among others, required customer fields, the quote's lifespan until it expires, and the extent of customer's permissions to the quote.
Note
The Default Quote Terms text area allows you to place your default terms concerning the quote as text.
Custom Fields for Quotes
The functionality of the Quote Custom Fields allows you to set up fields that meet specific needs and save the data associated with each quote. These custom fields are then available on a per-quote basis.
To add a custom field, click the Add Custom Field button located at the top right corner. Input the desired code and prompt, and select the type of custom field you wish to create. Choices include Radio Buttons, Drop-down List, Checkbox, Text Field, or Text Area. When finished, click Save Changes.
Note
Once added, these custom fields are accessible on a per-quote basis.
