Quote Notes
Quote Notes serve as a tracking device for the progress of a quote throughout the process. There are two major kinds of notes:
- Public Notes: These notes are visible to the customer when reviewing a quote from their account.
- Private Notes: These internal notes are only accessible when the quote is being viewed from the admin side.
The Miva admin adds notes to an order automatically under the following scenarios:
- When a quote is delivered to a customer
- When a quote is converted into an actual order
- When a quote is created by copying from an existing one
This feature helps you understand, in a sequential manner, all the actions that have occurred with respect to the quote.

Private notes can beneficially serve your sales team or the customer service team by keeping track of customer interactions, requests, and other data, ensuring everyone is updated about the situation.
To examine the notes connected to a quote, choose the “Notes” link from the View Quote screen. This will bring up a dialog box that displays the corresponding steps.
In addition, customers have the ability to send a note through the request field of the quote page.
